Rocking Chair Books handles English Language Rights for the Raya Agency, an Agency for Arabic Literature.  We work to unlock the gutsy intimate stories coming out of the Middle East for the English reader.  Cracking the language barrier from one of the most talked of, but least heard from, place on earth. 

They say that only 3% of books published in the English language are translations, so it is a challenge that makes the success even sweeter.

The Raya Agency is a Lebanon and France based literary agency, specialized in the representation of world translation rights of Arabic works.  It is run by the brilliant Yasmina Jraissati.
